Any stable OSclass script/version ?

Hello community ,

I tried a lot of wordpress themes for classifieds but somehow none worked for me. I have realized it hard way that wordpress is not for classifieds.

Any stable version of Osclass open source ? I will appreciate if admin or any senior member here can recommend this.

I have also seen many osclass websites still using 3.8.0 version. Not sure if that is the stable most version available and if yes where can i get that ?

I will appreciate if any one can throw some light on this. Thank you all.

Cron Job Clarity

In the docs I see the following reference to setting up a cron job and was wondering what the "-p cron -t" options actually do or mean?

Can't seem to find anything when searching or googling about them.

0 * * * * usr/local/php5/bin/php /home/your_username/public_html/index.php -p cron -t hourly

Long time no see..

After a long break, i finally i'm back on my first love 🤠.

Will take a while to catch up with all the nuances osclass, but i 'll do my best to solve some issues, bring to life some of my plugins ans themes, dusty stuff, to the php 8+ veesion..

Osclass and new Google Adsense CMP/ TCF Compliance

Hi all,

Just got an email from Google, saying that from 16 January 2024 my adsense ads will not be displayed to EU and UK visitors, because i'm not CMP / TCF and-all-that-crap qualified and compliant.

Apparently there is no plugin for all that for Osclass, paid or free?

Google has its own tool that you can use on your site (all sites and scripts), still i haven't checked it.

Anyone has been there, done that? What shall we do?

Visitors prefer to use the Contact form to ask various Osclass (mostly) questions, instead of making an account and ask here.

Anyways, i can't privately reply to each one, so here is an answer to the most common question:

Why we do not post any more news about Osclass Mindstellar release!

The answer is simple: There are NO NEWS about that release channel, apparently it is (sadly) dead a long time ago.

I don't see how that release could be revived, since most people have switched to other releases and also the developer is NOT responding or care to inform us. Pitty but this is what is happening.

As for Osclass script in general, i'm not optimistic either.

Youtube plugin responsive

JS error of plugin "header and footer" in Admin Dashboard

This issue is happening in ALL Osclass versions and releases AFTER 3.9 (or 3.8, i can test). But i don't remember 3.9 to suffer from this, still maybe i'm wrong.

It is happening ONLY in the admin Dashboard and doesn't seem to hurt anything.

It comes from "header and footer" plugin. The plugin works just fine.

Osclasswizards theme - JS error in Admin Dashboard

Not sure this is a Osclass 5 or 8 issue or whatever, so i'm posting it here.

While checking with F12 some other topic issue, i saw a js crash in the admin dashboard. Switching to the default theme, removed the error. So this is an Osclasswizards issue.

The error is related to fancybox

and ONLY appears to the main admin Dashboard. Since the media helper is 1.0.6 and there is NO new version, i don't think we can fix this. Maybe some developer can, i don't know.

And that version of fancybox is the last, the script has changed the name and there is no upgrade path.

So this is what it is. No harm is done with this js crash. We can leave it as it is.

Osclasswizards theme and bootstrap 4 - Security check

Today, checking one site i maintain with www.webpagetest.gr i got a security (medium) report. About bootstrap 4 used, in the theme i use (osclasswizards).

Can i just update it to 4.3.1 that was suggested? Anyone seeing or done that?

Hi.

I run Osclass 3.9 and i want to block all connections from TOR. There is a plugin for the opposite as i see.

Is there a way to do that? Nothing good ever comes from TOR exits to my small classifieds site.
