Hello.
I followed your suggestion from comments and made an account here.
I found your website while searching a way to minimize spam and other attacks for my Osclass 3.9 small site. Before i attempt to install CIDRAM, i have some questions.
1. Does it work with Osclass? Any specific versions, php versions, server versions or whatever?
2. Does that script slow down the website?
3. Is everything kind of automatic or some work needs to be done daily? Because maybe i don't jave the skills for all that.
4. Will i be secured with CIDRAM?
Thank you !
Hi,
1. Yes CIDRAM works just fine with Osclass. Needs PHP 7.2 and above. As for server, i guess all the popular work right.
2. CIDRAM has many modules that you can enable. All functions that work "locally" are very fast. Some modules that connect to external sites (api) like AbuseIPDB, since they do some connections to get their data, could add some slight overhead (but CIDRAM caching helps a lot here). It really depends of your web hosting server.
3. Almost nothing is automatic. Installation and setup/tuning is needed. After that the logs should be examined and tune accordingly.
4. "Secured" from what? CIDRAM is NOT a Firewall and shouldn't be considered as such.
I hope i have helped you with the question.
Thank you, i will have to try to install it during this week and see how it goes.
@fulcanelli I have some trouble to understand the whole installation, documented in their site. For version 3.
It is highly unclear (for me) what to do. I have only created a folder outside the website root (outside public_html). And i have no idea what to do next.
@solar Have you read this:
https://github.com/CIDRAM/Docs/blob/master/readme.en.md#2-how-to-install
@fulcanelli Yes. But i asked for some help from my hosting company and they made it work.
My mistake was in .htaccess auto-prepend that for some reason was not worded right.
In any case, thanks. I will have to see if and how it works.
