Greetings everyone,Having observed widespread concern and disappointment expressed on various online forums regarding the status of Osclass, we undertook the initiative of disproving the notion that it is a dead project. To this end, we developed Osclass Enterprise, which upholds the fundamental open-source ethos of the original Osclass platform and adds some well deserved fixes and enhancements. Our objective was to develop an enterprise system that is low maintenance and easily deployable, ensuring long-term functionality. We believe we achieved that objective. Now, to give this project an extra boost, we decided to launch a specialized marketplace for Plugins and Themes. And with that said, we're excited to introduce you to Enterprise-Classifieds.com! As you explore Enterprise-Classifieds.com, you'll quickly notice that this is not your run-of-the-mill marketplace for themes and plugins. And to address the elephant in the room (because people just love comparing stuff), here you go - quick comparison vs. OsclassPoint: Features: we're mostly on par, as we have some features they lack (security and business oriented), and they have some features we don't have (user-friendliness related). Performance: I'd say Osclass Enterprise is a bit faster, as it uses lesser and lighter code and doesn't have all the bloat that the other version has (like an external connection to the Point API, translations management system ...). Security: We believe that Osclass Enterprise is the winner, as it's the only Osclass version that offers a complete Spam Protection System and a Firewall, for free. Also, we've made lots of improvements regarding this area, like better sanitization, fixed vulnerabilities etc. Availability: Unlike its closed-source counterpart, Osclass Enterprise is open-source and allows for greater flexibility and customization and also ensures that the system remains transparent and secure, as the source code is accessible for review and auditing by developers and security experts.We also give credit to the contributors that helped build this over the years. This is the open-source way! Conclusion: both options are good, and it's really a matter of choice. You are a beginner hobbyist, have money to spend and want to build a quick classifieds website, go with OCPoint. You are an enterprise user that plans on growing big, and you need a solid platform to develop your business, go with Osclass Enterprise. Final Thoughts[1]If you check the recent changelog, you'll notice that we added PHP 8.1+ compatibility. Yes, you read that right, PHP 8.1+ on Osclass. LOL!Now in all seriousness, the PHP 8.1+ support, even if experimental, means that the entire Osclass Core codebase is more robust and does far less stuff that it shouldn't do, resulting in better performance and stability even on older PHP versions (7.1+).Also, it gives you the peace of mind that once installed, you can confidently run this Core version for 10+ years without worrying about stuff breaking.[2]Do note that almost all free themes and plugins have one of the most idiotic and hard to work with code you've ever seen!😵 It literally took weeks just to get them to a professional-working state. If you want to see what it took, just do a comparison between the original files and ours.I can't believe that people were actually using these before, and some even made money off of them...We plan on adding more to our Free selection, based on your requests and the available time. @enterpriseclassifieds I think the key here is to attract other developers also.

And what you did with the Market is great, because what is the meaning of a excellent script, without a theme to use. Refactoring some good legacy themes and plugins was a great idea of yours.

@editor Yes, that's really the point.

I do plan on adding more free refactored stuff (especially themes), but it would take a while, as the entire refactoring process is painful to say the least.

Not once I felt like smashing my monitor due to frustration regarding how bad the original code was... 🤬

And like I mentioned in my first post, most free stuff also uses ancient dependencies, like Bootstrap v3.0.0 and others. I had to update those to more recent versions also.

When I started this, I didn't imagine it would take so much time just to refactor and fix an existing product. You would think that being a done product, it's easy and straightforward, but oh boy, it's not.

Not to mention the visual scanning of every line (thousands), for "endian style engrish", with spelling and grammar issues all over the place.

But like I said, I'll do my best to push more quality stuff.

Refactoring some themes/plugins to get people started, is the most clever thing you did.

And this is what Mindstellar / Navjot FAILED to understand (it was suggested to him several times).

Already included, weeks ago (with credits of course 😉 ): https://github.com/MercanoG/Osclass-Enterprise/commit/0e99b62895722ca194ba166ae556eed4aa211684

Basically, this release (v3.10.0) has now reached 398 commits (96 in the current repository and 302 in the closed development one) compared with the standard 3.8.0.

In plain English, it took 398 changes (thousands of lines of code) to fix and make Osclass great.

@fulcanelli Thanks! Really appreciate it!

PS: The refactored themes will only work on Osclass Enterprise, as we have a ton of new features and there was no point to go through the pain of supporting dead/bad releases.
