Hi guys.
A few years back i was running Osclass 3.8 for a local classifieds site in my town. Then i updated to 3.9 (the only one available at the moment).
Then i made a POOR choice and updated again and now i'm on Osclass 5.1 version.
But i need to move out of this crap. I want to switch to Osclasspoint version but i can't.
After i do a manual update (following a sequence of versions, 4 and then the latest), all listings and locations are lost. The ads are shown de-activated and the locations do not show in the admin.
Apparently some database difference. I would appreciate any ideas or help. I MUST get rid of this buggy and totally incompatible version.
Thank you

Hi and welcome.
I completely understand you and sympathize with your situation.
I'm afraid you can't do what you want. And until now there is no solution. Apparently there are several database changes and that is complicated to fix or even to find what exactly has changed in so many options.
A lot of people are in the same boat as you. Some have started fresh, sacrificing their ads and their users.
The thing is i can't erase all the users and ads and start from scratch. On the other hand i'm left with version 5.1, a semi-experimental buggy version, a version that the developers decided to break each and every compatibility that existed and introduce several new bugs and issues.
1. No one is developing anything new for Osclasspoint release, except for Osclasspoint themselves, and eveything is PAID. Theme and Plugins. ALL their "free" plugins and themes are actually the old legacy plugins from Osclass 3.9 era. But of cource you can buy some theme and that is a plus.
2. Going with ANY release channel, means that you will be stuck with that channel. You can't move around releases and developers.
3. The developer of Osclass 5.1 (that decided to call himself Mindstellar) has not been successful in what he tried to do. But maybe the cause is not the developer but the script market. There is no market for it anymore i think. No new people interested.
