After the recent update about Osclass Market closing down on early September 2019, the interest is focused on a Fork of Osclass at Github.
https://github.com/navjottomer/Osclass
That fork started more than two years ago and a lot of work has been done since then. But because of lack of interest, the projected was stalled for a while. Now it is back again active, with more people participating. Users and Developers.

Interesting. Do we know who that guy is ?
Do you know anything more about all that ?
Â
Yes the owner is Navjot Tomer and he was (and still is) one of the early 3rd party developers for Osclass.

Just don't be very excited about it. While that fork looks very promising, it is an experimental version that needs a lot of work (work that Osclass team was very lazy to do it). Not to mention that a lot of bugs to be fixed.
It is not tested and we have no idea how well it works on a production site. Also i'm pretty sure that all those updates (libs etc etc) and the refactoring of the code, will break a lot of plugins. I hope that databases will be compatible, otherwise ... forget it.
So, this will be ready in the distant future and not on 5th of September that Osclass Market closes.

Ok, let me understand this: On 5th of next month Osclass Market will be officially closed. So what happens next ? All Osclass sites will be working or not ? I hope they will....
As for the new version you are talking, how can we get it (now or in the future) ? Aren't updates done via Osclass Market or i'm wrong ?
@dave-baron nobody knows what will follow after Osclass market shuts down. Until now there is no information available from Osclass team.
I guess that Osclass sites will NOT stop to function. Probably they have found a way to shut it down without creating problems to all the installations.
We will see. For now just wait. Don't install or update anything experimental.
