Just a word of caution: It is not easy to completely un-tie Osclass 3.8 from anything related to Osclass. Because it is not just the Market, it is also the Geo connections and the NEW installations.

I've written a guide on removing all connections to Market on existing Osclass installation. You can find it here: docs (dot) osclasscommunity (dot) com/removing-market/ (admin please add the link if it gets removed).

https://osclass.gitbook.io/osclass-docs/legacy-installations-pre-3.8.0/remove-calls-to-osclass

https://osclass.gitbook.io/osclass-docs/legacy-installations-pre-3.8.0/remove-market-from-admin-frontend

"From what i read, it seems there is also one (or more ?) Market urls or settings saved in the Database, in Preferences" - this doesn't matter when you perform the above modifications as Market calls are never performed.

"Because it is not just the Market, it is also the Geo connections and the NEW installations." - Maybe I make a separate guide on this. Currently, it's fixed only in the develop branch of Navjot's fork.

Lastly, the mods listed in the guide were performed live as I was writing the guide on my production site with quite a few visitors. There weren't any problems. I also ran the cron manually a few times, no errors or warnings.

Regards.

@webmods

Thank you for your GENUINE interest in Osclass in general, something rare these days.

I hope, all together we can move this dead script a step further.

Here are the 11 files changed and tested. I have followed the structure of Osclass folders, please be carefull how you upload it via ftp. Uzip and upload the two folders "oc-admin" & "oc-include" to replace your own. Those 2 folders contain ONLY 11 files that have changed.

BACKUP EVERYTHING FIRST
