It was December of 2017 that Navjot Tomer started to refactor and fix Osclass. A LONG time before Osclass org was shut down (September 2019) and before anyone else cared to fix and update the "legacy" Osclass script.
At the time there were posts at Osclass org about it but nobody cared.

the work this guy did is HUGE. HUGE.
And he came up with Osclass 3.9. Then some clever guys got 3.9 as a base, they fixed a few things and also added/changed a few code. And they named it Osclsss 4 and also they put a copyright in the code!
Go figure.

Osclass wasn't updated for a long time, only some major bugs and some security issues were fixed. Old libraries were used, no modern standards were applied etc etc.

for a long time and apparently is a skilled developer.
Interesting topic. Someone did all the heavy work and others took it and put a version and a (c) on it.
Nice stuff for Osclass "community". And of cource the "users" do use whatever crap they are served.
Osclass totally failed to create and sustain a real community.
If that happened to an other open source project, a lot of people would react badly. In this case, nothing happens.
This is why Osclass will be doomed (if it is not already).

How good can a script be, that in 2020 uses a very very very old version of TinyMCE html editor?
A version like 6+ years old, that has never been updated, in Osclass 3.8, Osclass 3.9 or even later (newer) versions and commits at Github.
The editor is one of the most important function that ALL users and admins use when they post or edit an ad.
