@maximus Those things happen because we have to deal with relics themes and plugins from 6-10 years back. In 2023.

Osclasspoint (mb themes) has some great themes, modern and visually attractive. Maybe take a look at them, not sure they work with Enterprise release (that is if you plan to use Enterpise release in some site).

@editor The funny thing is that the OsclassPoint free stuff doesn't even work 100% with his release.  🤣 

And by working, I mean the fact that he added new core features that aren't supported by his themes.

When you update the core, you also have to make sure that the themes/plugins keep up with those changes, and that is hard work sometimes.

Anyway, if you guys report issues, I will fix them.

PS: With Osclass Enterprise, we tried to keep up with the OsclassPoint changes, in order to make sure his stuff also works with ours (hard job...).

But the way I see it now, I believe that very soon OsclassPoint will become a closed environment, and he will break the compatibility with other Osclass Releases.

What makes you believe that? What do you mean?

@editor My statement is based on experience. Let me explain.

When an open source software goes closed source and starts building proprietary features around it, and also creates its own ecosystem of plugins and themes, like OsclassPoint did, then it makes little sense to keep supporting other releases just for the sake of it.

Keep in mind that supporting other releases is hard work for any developer, and sometimes a limiting factor - you can't move forward without breaking compatibility.

So there will be a point, probably in the near future (when the other Osclass releases have a low enough market share), when he will start pushing updates that will only be compatible with his release. 

Also, a while ago I had the chance to have a chat with Frosticek, and he said he will not accept other developers on his marketplace due to the fact that he can't guarantee the quality of their products.

Does this raise any flags? Sure it does - 100% closed environment.

Now, this is the main thing I personally hate about that release. The fact that open source became closed source, and that this new thing is not yours anymore. It's a commercial product that "makes calls home" through its API... (if that gets hacked, then you'll get hacked too).

https://anunt-imob.ro/ - Is a "relic" that uses Osclass 3.8.0 / NGINX / PHP 7.4.33 / OsclassWizards v2.0.4 - and makes nice money and until not long ago, had over 41k listings up. 😉 

@maximus I just released OsclassWizards v2.0.8 that should fix the translation issue. Please let me know if everything is in order.

@enterpriseclassifieds Sad to hear Osclasspoint will not accept other developers etc etc. Now i understand what you mean. That is why i have posted here several times that Osclasspoint is not about Osclass community. It is somehow a commercialization of Osclass.

Also, if something works (like your https://anunt-imob.ro/ example) it doesn't mean it is not a relic. If those plugins and themes were in Wordpress org directory, they would be banned :)

All that makes me sad, since Mindstellar could have made a difference and had his chance but failed.

@editor There was an issue with the Published date: string not being properly marked for translation in the code.
My fix passes Published date: as the first argument to printf() using the %1$s placeholder, and the osc_format_date() function is passed as the second argument using the %2$s placeholder.

The same applies to Modified date.

But keep in mind that this translation is now unique to OsclassWizards v2.0.8, so older translations of this theme won't work properly.
