Personally i prefer to stay with 3.9 and have Ninja firewall PRO in-front.

I agree. Also it would be better to be hosted on a Imunify360 server. Two layers of protection would be enough for Osclass 3.9.

I guess hackers do not care for Osclass. Not a popular script.

You guys spend much time with Osclass. Osclass is not a viable script anymore, actually it never was.

Try to switch to something else. There are some good (but not free) options. No serious webmaster will spend time with Osclass anymore.

Waiting and waiting and waiting. Waiting to die, twice. Once when Osclass org shut down and die again waiting. Not a good business plan i must say.

We spend time with Osclass because we have already "invested" a lot of time with it.

Most of us do not want to switch to something not free.

You are right in that: Waiting is not good. Long waits usually means a slow death. I have seen so many projects die a slow death in my life, and some were really good scripts.

The problems is that there is no interest from developers and there is NO community left. We have 3 different Osclass releases, all 3 are one-man-show. Correct me if i'm wrong. This can only FAIL imho.

Nice information, but it has been a very long time since i saw some new plugin/theme or new developer for Osclass.

Also checking your forum and a couple of other forums for Osclass, i didn't see any interest from users.

So the new Osclass 5 will be good, but for who? Who is gonna use it, without themes and plugins? For what?

There is nothing new for FREE, i see some paid themes and plugins for Osclass 3.9.

But considering the fact that almost no developer is interested in Osclass (apart from the guy who released 3.9 and maintains it at Github), nothing new and free is out.

This is not a problem with 3.9, since most free plugins and themes work, but it will be a major issue when Osclass 5.0 is out.

This not 100% correct since even with 3.9 a lot of free plugins and themes do not work.

Even the GDPR plugin (a must) doesn't work right with some themes and 3.9. And without GDPR we are not going anywhere you know ....

There are some SO OLD plugins that need to be updated or even re-factored. What can i say. Most of them are legacy plugins.

For example the Richedit plugin uses TinyMCE editor 3.4.6, release 29 / 09 / 2011.
