I'm trying to update my small Osclass 3.9 installation. Manually fix a few issues and warnings (from google for example), update or delete some plugins and also update my theme. My site has been a bit neglected for the last 2 years and during those years a lot of things have been changed related to this script.
So first i have done the easiest update of my theme, Osclasswizards (a bit modified) from 2.0.4 i was using, to 2.0.6 (latest and last version from what i understand).
I'm located in central Europe and i MUST use GDPR for registrations. And now the checkbox in registration page doesn't appear, just the message "I have read ..... etc etc". Apparently it is a theme issue, of 2.0.6. Also the checkbox doesn't appear in login Remember me.
So if the checkbox doesn't appear for some reason, it can't be selected and nobody can register. For the Remember me, it doesn't matter for now.
Any ideas what could be wrong and how to solve this?
Thanks
Ok, some questions, are you still running 3.9 or a greater version?
Have you modified Osclasswizards 2.0.6 in any way (because you mention "modified")?
I would like to know before testing myself.
@johannes-de-sacrobosco I'm currently running 3.9 and the Osclasswizads theme changes are only css ones for 2.0.4.
All the tests i do are in a subdomain that my hoster created for me. In there i run only stock scripts and plugins and themes.
ok, i did some research on this.
In my tests there is an issue ONLY with Firefox and not with Edge or Chrome. The guy in the link says Edge has also an issue but for me it worked.
So there is a problem with Osclasswizards 2.0.6 and GDPR plugin when Firefox browser is used.
I will try to find out what is causing that and maybe @editor can search or ask around (he has much more connections with channels of Osclass than myself).
This is indeed an issue, since for me 52.5% of traffic is Chrome, 28.6% is Firefox and the rest is other browsers (Edge is less than 0.5%).
@stationary-traveller do you know your stats?
If it is very very low, probably you can ignore it? I mean if it is less than 1% of users.
@stationary-traveller Also why move from 2.0.4 to 2.0.6, unless you are also upgrading to Osclass 5.x?
I'm currently trying to figure out what to do exactly. Just testing, so i will have no surprises.
I would like to be as much updated as i can, Osclass 5 seems nice but without any theme or plugins, it is of no use to me.
I'm also trying the Osclasspoint version and seems much more compatible with everything.
