Linode is slowly becoming like OVH and Digital Ocean….
I still remember a few years back when I used Linode for a year. They had nice service and reasonable support. However, after Linode was acquired by Akamai (or maybe even before that), their IPs quickly became a source of daily attacks and bots.
To be honest, all my abuse reports to them were answered quickly, but with the same typical reply you see below. And after 2-3 days, the attacks started again from a neighboring IP. So, reporting abuse had no purpose, not to mention that half the time when I sent the report from their page, I got the message “you don’t have access to this server.”
If Linode continues to host all the Internet garbage scripts, they will quickly become like other companies such as OVH, Digital Ocean, Colocrossing, Scaleway, Contabo, Hetzner, etc, a company to avoid with banned IPs all over the net.
Every admin in trouble must block their ASN (AS63949) since it is the only way to wake them up.

They don’t even KNOW HOW TO SEND A PROPER “EMAIL FROM:” and “wordpess@” is used. Go figure!!!
August 2023 Update: Attacks didn’t stop and abuse reports are now totally ignored.
Slowly? Rapidly i would say. Today we had a lot of WordPress attacks from linodeusercontent.com
What did you expect?
Both Digital Ocean and Linode are providing services mainly to developers …..
